Our studio is committed to provide the absolute safest possible environment before, during, and after every photoshoot both for our staff and our clients. Multiple members of BSP are high-risk and thus we take the utmost care in making sure everyone is safe while shooting. BSP is following all local, state, and federal public health guidelines along with guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) and OSHA to ensure that our clients can relax, feel safe, and have fun during their shoots. Even during this pandemic, our goal is to get you HEADSHOTS THAT BOOK WORK!

THE STUDIO

  • The Bella Saville Photography studio is a well-ventilated open space
  • All staff will be wearing face coverings at all times in addition to keeping a safe distance (at least 6 feet). Staff will also wear face shields where possible
  • Bella's camera stand has been modified to include a giant plastic shield for additional physical separation.
  • We shoot tethered on a very large, crystal-clear Retina 5K monitor so you can see your photos from 12+ feet away for image review
  • Bella will be social distancing at all times and both Bella and our HMUA wear medical-grade protective equipment.
  • Our post-shoot conversation has been replaced by a detailed video you can watch from home. Bella is also happy to Zoom, Skype, or call to answer additional post shoot questions.
  • Bella and Staff are getting regularly tested as a preventative measure
  • We are only allowing one client in the studio at a time with ample time between each client to disinfect
  • Everyone in the studio frequently washes and sanitizes their hands. Clients will be asked to wash their hands after interacting with any props, surfaces, or equipment
  • Ample hand sanitizer is placed conveniently throughout the studio
  • Our hand sanitizer and hand soap dispensers are touchless
  • BSP will only provide wardrobe items from our wardrobe closet that we can launder on high heat both with detergent and laundry sanitizer
  • Bella can review your clothes ahead of time via dropbox to minimize non-shooting time in the studio. This also gives you great input from Bella in case you need to change a look or get additional clothing items ahead of time. This is in addition to our customized wardrobe & styling guide and shopping guide.
  • Our studio is an exclusive space occupied and used only by Bella Saville Photography
  • The studio features two large brand new state of the art medical grade industrial HEPA air filters
  • The hair and makeup area has been moved outside to fully comply with current LA and CA guidelines
  •  Our photoshoots are restricted to the minimum necessary personnel: client, photographer, and makeup artist (if client requests). Our studio manager will be in a separate office when he is not moving equipment. At this time, additional guests are not permitted, except that minors will be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guardians will be required to wait either upstairs in our waiting area or outside on the hair and makeup patio. The shoot can be viewed remotely on a guardian's device as we shoot with a tether, and the waiting area is located in a large loft with an excellent socially-distanced view of the whole studio.

SANITIZATION AND CLEANING

  • We have added a machine-washable cover to the waiting area couch. It sterilized between clients and washed daily.
  • We will be deep-cleaning and disinfecting the studio, including carpets and floors, before each client. Disinfectant is sprayed and allowed to set for a minimum of 10 minutes per OSHA guidelines, then the area is sanitized again.
  • All touched surfaces (i.e. doors, switches, handles, tables, chairs) will be wiped down and sprayed with an EPA-approved disinfectant and bleach-based cleaner.
  • Bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
  • UV-C lights will be available as an extra precaution for sanitizing personal belongings.

HAIR & MAKEUP

  • All BSP makeup artists are Barbicide, WHO, and OSHA certified.
  • Clients are welcome to arrive with makeup and hair done and camera-ready. The use of a professional hair and makeup artist is recommended but not required.
  • Artists are required to undergo coronavirus testing weekly.
  • Hair and makeup by our artists at the studio will be done outside in accordance with local rules.
  • There is a separate changing room with attached restroom that can be used for touch-ups and wardrobe changes.
  • Clients electing to do their own hair and makeup will have access to the changing room and makeup area. {Please let us know in advance if you will be doing your own makeup in order to properly prepare).
  • Our studio artists, if selected, will be adhering to strict health guidelines and sanitizing protocols to ensure your safety.
  • Artists are required to wash their hands before each client in addition to wearing a face mask and Face Shield at all times.
  • Gloves are available for both artist and client as well.
  • Makeup products and tools undergo sterilization processes using both chemical disinfectants and UV-C light
  • Artists use disposable tools whenever possible and take specific measures to prevent any risk of cross contamination
  • For clients, we have a list of recommended hair stylists, colorists, and braiders that are currently open and adhering to all state guidelines for anyone who needs their hair done before their shoot
  • For clients with allergies that may require specific products: please let us know at the time of booking, as special arrangements may be necessary.

Please reach out to us directly should you have any questions regarding the safety of your shoot.

We are committed to making our studio as safe as possible
